Location: Nottingham termtime, Wales elsetime.
Favorite Spot to Train: Ach, have no clue yet.
Been Training for: Few months.
Favorite Movement: Catleaps.
How did you get into Parkour: Playing about with mates back home, mostly playing rugby in the treetops. Comes highly recommended, and a very different game to how it's played on the ground.

Nice joining onto you guys!

Why did i join parkournottingham : Last summer i study there for a month, and this year i'm going to repeat, but i can't survive without parkour for a month. Last year i couldn't practice it because i broke my collar bone ice skating... Mad
I was searching parkour team in nottingham to practice with them this summer (in july) and i met joehic1991 (his account name), before that, he gave me the web link and you know, i'm here- Cool

Favorite Spot to Train: Not sure of any places in Nottingham because I've only just moved here, but that's the reason I'm here.
Been Training for: Started training in August 2006 but was out for three months with a broken rib some time ago so somewhere between two-and-a-half and three years.
Favorite Movement: Precision jump.
How did you get into Parkour: I used to do Ninjutsu when I lived in Leicester and one of the basic techniques you have to learn is a backflip and back handspring so I looked on YouTube to find out how to do them. The Dvinsk Clan video came up, I watched it and from that moment I was hooked. Not done Ninjutsu for a year-and-a-half now but still doing Parkour.

Hi all, my name is Alex( ignore the random account name, that's me Very Happy ) and I'm from Bulgaria
Age: 19
Location: University Park, Nottingham
I naturally don't have a favorite spot yet 'cus I havent trained since I came to England, but I've fooled around at some places on the campus.

I've been training for about 4 years now, although after an injury I had to stop for a while. I've only been tricking since I came to Nottingham, but I recently found this website, so I want to do parkour again.

Favorite movement: all types of vaults and precisions(though I kinda suck at the latter Very Happy )

Weelll 4 years ago some friends of mine showed me this cool new thing they saw on the internet called freejumping(lawl) and we went out to try it. First thing I tried was a kong and my feet got caught on the rail so I majestically faceplanted on the ground. Cool

How did you get into Parkour: I've admired/appreciated/been interested in Parkour for a number of years but I've never taken the plunge into investigating it more until now.

Basically I'm a total newcomer to the whole scene but I've been meaning to get into it for quite a while. I do have a minor background in gymnastics as a schoolkid and I used to skate ramps on rollerblades for years and years so I reckon I've got a decent base to start with - good balance and quite strong legs (I can reach a full-height basketball rim), although what do I know, eh? That could be completely irrelevant! lol Smile

Just looking for info on how to get into the scene - where to go, who to talk to etc - anyone have any info on where i should start? Is there anyone in my area who could show me the ropes?

I'm also a really keen amateur photographer, shooting digital and medium format film so I'd love to try this sort of action photography because it would be a departure from my usual stuff - anyone out there in Nottingham want a free photographer? Check out my Flickr if you wanna see my stuff: http://www.flickr.com/jwfranklin.

C ya
James

Favorite Spot to Train: Not too sure yet.
Been Training for: I did a little "Parkour" when I was about 12, but it was awful.
Favorite Movement: Precision
How did you get into Parkour: By watching Jump Britain on Channel 4 and discovering Urban Freeflow. Last Saturday I had my first training with the guys in Nottingham and although I'm starting slow, I think I'll improve Smile

I've never done actual parkour training or anything before, but I'm quite agile and love climbing stuff.

I would like to say that I have no fear of hights, and I love being in high places so I'd really love to be able to do that kind of stuff Very Happy

Age: 13

Favorite Spot to Train: I dunno really. It would probably be on rooftops or something though.
Been Training for: I've always been climbing up stuff, but never actually trained for parkour.
Favorite Movement: Jumping, climbing.
How did you get into Parkour: I think it's because when I was young I wanted to be a ninja. It just stuck with me.

Hey guys My name is Ciaran (Seth is what my friends call me)

Just moved to Nottingham with my GF who is from here.

Sadly i havent done Parkour even tho i have wanted to for almost 5 years now.

I have trained in many Martial Art forms but my fitness has dropped ALOT since my last injury after losing my the sight in my right eye(Slowly coming back)

I am 21 years old and i was hoping you all still meet regularly as i was hoping to get back into severe fitness levels again and believe this would be the best way to do it.

Any info would be awesome.

Thanks in Advance!

Seth

age: 26

Place I live: Coalville

How Long I've been FR for: A few months on and off

Favorite movement: Kong because I just figured it out

Favorite spot to train: Wherever I am. There's a nice set of outdoor equipment courtesy of the nearby leisure centre.

How did you get into it? My friend James in London trains with Blane and got me hooked on it a few months ago.

I checked in with the Leicester crowd as well. A friend in Notts is looking to start parkour with me, so I reckon we can get away with jamming with both crowds Wink
